Case Study # 1 PMS:

A young woman came into the clinic complaining of feeling dizzy and fuzzy headed all the time, with relief only at the beginning of the menstrual flow. She could hardly wait to start her period because she knew she would feel better. She reported low back pain for 2 weeks out of every month, severe menstrual cramps for 3 days duration, cravings for sugar and salt, sensation of feeling as if her pelvis was full and bloated all the time, no energy, leg pain along the front of her thighs. She was treated with immediate abdominal scar release from an old surgery 10 years ago, placed on vitamin E, vitamin B6, calcium supplement with magnesium and vitamin D added, 2 extra strength Tylenol once daily. She was encouraged to keep a diary of her feelings, cravings and activities. She was placed on a simple exercise program to be performed 4 days a week without fail. She was given a list of foods to avoid including potato chips, chocolate, white bread, candy, white sugar foods, heavy fat foods such as gravy, chips, dips and brown colas with caffeine. She returned in 2 weeks feeling much better. At this time, we leveled her pelvis and relaxed the psoas muscle. She continued with pelvic leveling on a daily basis. When she returned 2 months later, she reported feeling good for 3 weeks out of every month. She was still experiencing some menstrual cramping. Continued pelvic techniques were performed for 4 more sessions. This young woman was back on track and had her life back. She was delighted, so was her boyfriend and her boss.

She is a “Female Phantom Survivor”.

Case Study #4 Stuffy Ears:

Miss S. reported continuous stuffy ears with popping and cracking of the ears during swallowing or eating. She had been to the ENT physician several times with no medical findings. She had slight TMJ problems and wore a bite guard at night. She was quite frustrated and had experienced several bouts of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) over the last 2 weeks. She felt she could not tolerate any more popping or ringing sensations.

On evaluation, she was found to have an unlevel pelvis with the right side being ¾ inches lower than the left. There was considerable tightness around her sacrum with stretching of this area producing pain in the rectum. She reported feeling this sensation but did not associate it with her stuffy ears. Friction massage around the sacrum was performed followed by leveling her pelvis with towel rolls and a sacral release to push the sacrum in a downward position. Using a T bar, the sacral ligaments were massaged with complete relief of pain in her heels. She was amazed at how many symptoms were relieved by just a few techniques. She was given a stretching program of leg stretches and instructions for leveling her pelvis on a daily basis. When she returned the following week, she reported no heel pain, her stuffy ears were clearing and she had not had any bouts of tinnitus.
